Please Note: The pharmaceutical liability attorneys at the James Esparaza law firm have represented countless clients in the Utah area who have been harmed by dangerous drugs, and we can help you, too. However, at this time, we are only accepting pharmaceutical liability cases for the following drugs: Levaquin, Yaz and Yasmin, and Transvaginal Mesh Patches. The link here indicates the drug cases we are no longer accepting so that we may focus our time and resources on victims who have been harmed by Levaquin, Yaz/Yasmin and the Transvaginal patches.
On
September 30, 2004, Merck & Company announced they would voluntarily recall
their popular arthritis pain relief drug, Vioxx. A recent clinical trial indicated
that patients using Vioxx over an extended period of time were at double the risk
for heart attack and stroke.
Throughout the medical community, concerns have been building over Vioxx for years. Despite earlier studies that also indicated long-term use of Vioxx led to higher instances of heart attack and stroke, Merck had maintained that Vioxx was safe.
The most recent study makes it almost impossible to maintain this claim.
